Registry welcome boxes (the reliable ones)
The major registries each give a free sample box once you create a registry and meet a small threshold (adding items, or a small purchase for some retailers). Boxes typically include bottle samples, diaper-brand trials, wipes, and coupons — $35+ in retail value.

- Add a handful of items across categories right away; the welcome box usually unlocks after that.
- The bigger prize is the completion discount near your due date — typically 10–15% off everything still on the list, which is the cheapest way to buy the car seat and stroller.
